"Two groups of researchers have cooled a cloud of atoms until they became what was essentially one big super-atom," the BBC reports.It's called a Bose-Einstein condensate, or Bec for short, and it involves atoms cooled to within a tiny fraction of a degree of absolute zero (-273C or -459F).
