Adventures in Newswriting Dept., Geek Div.

The BBC on January 20 tell us that
Nasa's Mars rover Spirit went for a drive on the Martian soil on Sunday and stopped to investigate a large rock.
It just shows how exploration has become almost taken for granted that the sentence seems just silly - it "went for a drive and stopped to look at a large rock" - until you remind yourself that it's taking place on Mars, tens of millions of miles away.
