Back on December 29 I noted that some Israeli soldiers are refusing to be part of an army of occupation by serving outside the "Green Line," the 1967 borders of Israel - that is, in the West Bank and Gaza. At that time I mentioned Yesh Gvul as one of the better known Israeli support groups for the resisters.
I want to add another: Courage to Refuse calls itself "the most influential peace movement in Israel today." That may well be hyperbole but the value of the work, including a petition signed by hundreds of Israeli university faculty members, can't be denied.
