White House officials have insisted that the "abuses" ("torture," being, it seems, the treatment that dare not speak its name) at Abu Ghraib were the work of a few bad apples.
Isn't it just amazing, truly a coincidence worthy of Ripley, that in the entire structure of the US armed forces, that handful of no-goodniks all wound up in the same place?
