Another example of what's wrong in the media

The headline on an August 7 New York Times article about the anemic job growth figures for July:
In Blow to Bush, Only 32,000 Jobs Created in July
Is the effect on George Bush's political future rather than on the lives of those struggling to care for themselves and their families really the issue here?
