Catch up

I had intended to post a couple more things last night but Blogspot went south on me; every attempt at a post failed with a "connection timed out" error. After four tries I gave up. I tried again a few hours later with the same result. So no more posting and :gasp: no Jeopardy! answer/question.

In fact, I haven't been able to post since 11pm last night. But I'm trying again. If this goes through, I'll have a few posts up in rapid succession. I'll take the opportunity here to encourage, as I always like to do, comments. I know that not many people even among regular blog-readers make comments, so on a low-traffic site like this they will be few and far between. Still, they are welcome. The rules are simple:

1. Comments must actually be comments, that is, they have at least some connection to, be in some way related to, the issue and/or the post at hand. They don't need to be positive, but they do need to be somehow relevant.

2. "Comments" that are simply rude remarks or personal attacks on me or any other commenter will be deleted without hesitation as soon as I become aware of them.

I'd also encourage people to email me with any general comments they have about Lotus, that is, general about the blog as opposed to about some particular post. Do you like it? Is it useful to you in any way?

And if it is, how about passing the word along? I make no bones about the fact that I'd like more traffic. Makes me feel more useful, doncha know. You might have noticed the envelope icon at the bottom of each post. Clicking on that provides a quick and easy way for you to email a link to the post to someone else. So if you read something and it hits you that "so-and-so" should see this," there's an easy way to do it.
