Shameless self-promotion

The category of Blog Most Deserving of Wider Recognition is open for voting at the Koufax Awards at Wampum; the link is here.

They report that the list was lost due to computer failure a couple of times so it might be missing some names. Well, I know that's true 'cause I was nominated by at least three people (myself included) and I ain't on the list.

I voted for myself anyway (you vote by adding a comment to the post) with the note that since I know I was nominated, I'd do it while waiting for the list to be corrected.

The deal here is that if any of you would like to help me out, please do follow the above link and cast your vote for Lotus - Surviving a Dark Time (not, I will add, for Whoviating; that's my screen name, not the blog's name). Again, it's not on the list but it should be and I imagine it will be corrected as I've written to them (as they suggested) to alert them to the omission.

The truth is, I don't expect to win, since the factors that seem to drive the popular blogs these days are personalities, Democratic Party politics, and snarkiness, none of which are on wide display here. And what's more, I don't even care that much about winning.

Oh, make no mistake, I'd like to win; it's just not that important. What's important to me, and why I'd much appreciate a vote, is traffic. That does matter to me. I would like more.

I figure the more votes, the more attention - and thus more people who will check this site out, some portion of which will become regular readers. If I make it into the finals (I think the top 10 vote-getters in this round move on), even better.

So I guess what I'm actually asking you to do is to help direct some traffic my way. If you think Lotus is something that deserves more attention, something worthy of people's notice, again please do go here and comment that you're voting for Lotus - Surviving a Dark Time as the blog you think deserves wider recognition.
