In an April 14 column, she refers to an incident last October at the University of Arizona when two students threw pies at her. Unfortunately for the dignity of all sentient creatures, they missed.
[O]n March 19, all charges were dismissed against the "Deliverance" boys — including a felony charge for $3,000 worth of damage to school property. ...Now, this is the lame twerp who advocated invading Muslim countries, "killing their leaders and converting them to Christianity." She said her only regret about the Oklahoma City bombing was that McVeigh hadn't targeted the New York Times building instead. She considers Joe McCarthy a great hero, responded to the possibility that American soldiers in Iraq were shooting journalists with "If only it were so!" and argued that the best way to talk to "liberals" (who are "traitors") is "with a baseball bat."
At the risk of provoking one of those brainy liberals to throw more food, here's an idea: In order to reduce physical assaults on conservative speakers, maybe we should increase the price. But, to the contrary, when conservative speakers are physically attacked on college campuses, university administrators ignore the attacks, Democrat prosecutors somehow manage to get the charges dismissed, and Democrat flacks ... pretend they missed the news that day.
But now she's getting the vapors because the two Arizona students aren't doing hard time for the heinous crime of throwing pies - and missing. What a pathetic specimen. What a petulant brat.
What a whining crybaby!
Just like the rest of her developmentally-stunted ilk, whose socialization skills seem not to have advanced beyond the "Me! Mine!" stage, she wants to be free to declaim, rant, accuse, threaten, call names, to endorse and celebrate murderous violence, but goes all to pieces if someone responds to her on her own level. Then they're all mean and nasty and unfair and how could they do this to me and I'm just a girl! *sniffle* Someone go hurt them for me!
Unfortunately for them, Republican men don't react favorably to two "Deliverance" boys trying to sucker-punch a 110-pound female in a skirt and heels. The geniuses ended up with bloody noses and broken bones. There actually is no evidence the two, while roughly handled, were injured by the crowd, but I'm quite sure Coulter prefers to imagine it otherwise. I can see the flicker of a satisfied smirk crossing her face as she wrote that. So much for disapproving of "assault."
Oh, and please let's not pretend this had anything to do with pies being thrown. Don't you remember all the fuss and feathers, all the foot-stomping conniption fits she threw over the "mean" way Chris Matthews treated her a while back?
And while we're at it, let's not pretend it's just her. The whole crew, the Limbaughs, the Hannitys, the Savages, the O'Reillys, the Buchanans, they're all the same. They denounce, scream, screech, bully, but let someone take them on directly, let someone stand their ground and go toe-to-toe, let someone on the left not
persist in thinking of political debate as a quiet exchange of well-crafted ideas, punctured only by "tut-tut"s and "hear, hear"s,as I keep accusing them, and the wingnuts go ballistic with maniacal, red-faced, vein-throbbing rage about the "uncivilized" behavior of their opponents.
What a bunch of whining crybabies!
That's exactly what they are: whining crybabies. I say we should never forget it. I say we should never let anyone else forget it. I say we keep saying it over and over:
What a bunch of whining crybabies!
Footnote: Wednesday brings news from AP that
[a] man spit tobacco juice into the face of actress Jane Fonda after waiting in line to have her sign her new book, police said. ...Now, what do you think are the chances that Ann Coulter or any of the rest of that crew of lamebrain moral midgets will condemn this actual assault? Would they have expressed satisfaction if some among the audience had grabbed the guy and given him a "bloody nose and broken bones?" Please stop laughing long enough to finish reading.
Capt. Rich Lockhart of the Kansas City Police Department said that although Fonda did not want to press charges against Michael A. Smith, 54, of Kansas City, he was arrested on a municipal charge of disorderly conduct after off-duty officers caught him just outside Unity Temple, where Fonda was signing books. ...
Smith, a Vietnam veteran, told The Kansas City Star on Wednesday that Fonda was a "traitor" and that her protests against the war were unforgivable. He said he normally does not chew tobacco but did so Tuesday solely to spit juice on the actress.
Oh, and by the way: Not only did Fonda decline to press charges, she wiped herself off and continued signing books. Which I guess goes to show that she's a grown woman who can deal with life, not a "girl" who wants "strong Republican men" to beat up anyone who offends her.
Additional Footnote: It develops (Thanks, Media Matters for America.) that the reason the charges were dropped is because neither the arresting officer nor Coulter showed up for the trial. So the dropping of charges she stomps her feet about (charges which can, in fact, be refiled) was as much her own doing as anyone's. What a loser. What a crybaby!
