I promise that tomorrow I'll have something pithy and relevant to say about the tragic murders in London. Tonight I'm just too world-weary from considering how many ways this will be (and already is being) used for political advantage of one sort or another; from contemplating how many times the slaughter of innocents in one place has been used to justify and indemnify the slaughter of innocents elsewhere; from concentrating on how many people, how many groups, how many governments, have proclaimed across history that what is in fact their guilt is instead actually proof of their innocence.
So yes, I have some things I want to say - just not tonight.
