Bummer bummer bummer

I. E. America Radio, a national radio network owned by the UAW (formerly the United Auto Workers, now formally the United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America), is going to be shut down by the end of February.

The intention was to establish a liberal talkshow network as an alternative to right-wing radio but the effort topped out at about 100 affiliates nationwide and was losing money. That, coupled with the fact that better financed liberal networks are in the planning stages, was enough to move the UAW to close it down.

Give a listen while you still can at www.ieamericaradio.com.
