"After two days of rudderless weaving and bobbing," Martin stepped forward.
"Anybody who knew about that and did nothing should resign immediately," he insisted yesterday. ...He was also quoted as "inviting those who had a part in the sponsorship affair to resign from their positions before he came for them."
Martin has requested a full public inquiry by Mr. Justice John Gomery, and has rightly offered to testify. He has urged any cabinet minister who knew about wrongdoing to resign. And in an appeal to whistleblowers that should guarantee full protection, he has urged bureaucrats, Liberal workers, or any citizen with knowledge of the scandal to come forward.
