Good news update

On Sunday I posted about the sweeping subpoenas issued to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, seeking every bit of information it had about a forum held on campus, including the names of attendees and all records it had about the National Lawyers Guild, which sponsored the event.

Now the good folks at TalkLeft inform us that the NLG has announced that the U.S. Attorney has withdrawn those subpoenas as well as the ones directed at four activists were attended the forum. A gag order placed on employees of Drake University about the subpoenas has also been lifted. In short, the government backed down completely.
