Six degrees of al-Qaeda

The New York Times for February 10 tells us that
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian suspected of ties to Al Qaeda, is now thought likely to have played a role in at least three major car-bomb attacks in Iraq that have killed well over 100 people in the last six months, according to senior American officials.
The headline on the article reads
"U.S. Aides Report Evidence Tying Al Qaeda to Attacks"
So Zarqawi is "likely to have played a role" in car-bomb attacks and is also "suspected" of ties to al-Qaeda - so that establishes a link between al-Qaeda and the attacks.

Uh-huh.

And Osama bin Laden is top dog in al-Qaeda, so I guess that establishes a link between bin Laden and the attacks. And he was a player in the CIA-supported mujahadeen in Afghanistan, so I guess that establishes a link between the CIA and the attacks. And George H. W. Bush was CIA director, so I guess that establishes a link between Bush Sr. and the attacks. And George Jr. is George Sr.'s son, so I guess we've now clearly established a link between President George Bush and car-bomb attacks in Iraq.

Uh-huh.
